Taum Sauk high-point trailhead
Typical hazards: Wet pavement, leaves, winter snow or ice, thunderstorms, and rapidly changing weather in the St. Francois Mountains.
Missouri State Parks measures the paved trail from the parking area to the highpoint at approximately 1,030 feet one way. The rugged Mina Sauk Falls loop continues beyond the highpoint and is a separate, much harder hike.

Drive the park road to the main parking area near its end. The Missouri highpoint is reached by a short paved walk from this trailhead.
Parking is close to the highpoint.
Use the main paved trailhead parking area near the end of the park road. Accessible parking and an accessible vault toilet are available at the trailhead.
